H1N1 Vaccine: No Problems So Far

Beijing has just started to vaccinate people with the newly available H1N1 vaccine. Two days ago, thousands of students participating in the upcoming parade were given the vaccine, and no serious side effects were reported (see article link below).

There’s no reason to presume that there would be any unusual side effects with this new vaccine. Even though it is new, it is prepared exactly the same way as the seasonal flu vaccine, so any common side effects should be the same.

There’s still no word as to when the H1N1 vaccine will be available to local clinics. Stay tuned! And don’t forget about the regular, seasonal flu vaccine, which has already been out for a few weeks.
